We learned both of these from our friends, The Boatrights, who were popular in the Irish/Scottish festival circuit in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. The first tune, Si Bheag Si Mhor, is a beautiful Irish Air attributed to the blind Irish harpist, Turlough O’Carolan and dates back to the early 1700’s. We started playing this tune in 2019 when we worked it up to play for our son, Daniel & Krista’s first dance at their wedding. The second tune in the set is a slip jig that for many years we incorrectly identified as The Clare Jig. That name came from a mislabeled copy of a CD that the Boatrights learned it from. Through the assistance of one of Hannah’s Fiddlin’ Friday viewers, we learned the correct name is "The Snowy Path," composed by Mark Kelly.
