You’ve Got a Friend in Me - Another Season's Promise

Farnum Family

This song has been a family favorite for years! It is a “modern classic” written by Randy Newman who composed the score for all four Toy Story movies and five other Pixar films. (He also wrote and recorded the 1977 hit song “Short People”, but mom doesn’t like us to talk about that!)

"You’ve Got a Friend in Me" found it’s way into our repertoire early on in our band’s history, first sung by Nathaniel when he was about 7 years old. His trademark was to cross his eyes during the instrumental parts of the song!

Now we perform it with a different son in a different key, but it’s still the same great song! We hope you will enjoy Matthew’s rendition. Feel free to sing along!
